Flick agrees to new contract with Barcelona

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is ready to continue his collaboration with the Catalans. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the German specialist has agreed to sign a new contract with the club.
According to the source, Flick's new deal will run until the summer of 2028. The contract also includes an option to extend it for another season until 2029, showing that the Barcelona board trusts the coach with a long-term project.
It is noted that the main issues between the parties were resolved at the verbal agreement level a few weeks ago. Final negotiations between Flick's agent Pini Zahavi and the Barcelona management have been successfully concluded.
Flick's current contract was set to expire in the summer of 2027. Now, with the new deal, the specialist's future at the club is further secured. An official announcement is expected later.
Under Hansi Flick, Barcelona has achieved great results this season. The Catalans won the La Liga title early, defeated Real Madrid in El Clásico, and restored a winning mentality within the team.
The coach was able to build a good rapport with the players in a short time. He introduced discipline, high pressing, quick attacks, and a reliable style of play. The development of young players and the consistent performance of the leaders have been key aspects of Flick's work.
For Barcelona, this decision seems logical. Success at big clubs is not measured by a single season's result. What matters is the continuity of the project, trust in the coach, and the team moving in a clear direction.
Flick staying is also good news for Barcelona fans. The championship, the victory in El Clásico, and the new contract mean spirits are high in Catalonia. Now the main task is to maintain this momentum and aim for big goals in Europe.
