Chelsea have accelerated their search for a new head coach. The London club has held talks with Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola. The Spanish tactician is making a bold push for European qualification with Bournemouth this season, which has caught the attention of the Chelsea board. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
According to reports, Iraola has rejected an offer from Crystal Palace. Nevertheless, there are other candidates on Chelsea's shortlist. In particular, Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is seen by the club's owners as a primary option. Alonso is highly regarded as a top-level coach capable of tactically reshaping the team.
Chelsea's management is also prepared to make changes to their transfer policy to strengthen the coaching staff. Fulham manager Marco Silva and Oliver Glasner are also among the candidates. The club is expected to reach a final decision in the coming days to start preparations for the new season on time.
