Another important final took place in English football. On May 16, Manchester City and Chelsea faced off in the decisive match for the FA Cup. In a tense and uncompromising battle, the 'Cityzens' secured a narrow 1-0 victory to claim another trophy.
The first half was marked by active and fast-paced attacks from both sides, yet neither team managed to break the deadlock. The tempo increased in the second half. In the 57th minute, Uzbek defender Abduqodir Husanov was shown a yellow card by the referee for a foul on Marc Cucurella.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 72nd minute. Following an accurate assist from Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo found the back of the net. This goal decided the fate of the match, and the score remained unchanged for the remaining minutes.
In the final, Abduqodir Husanov played the full 90 minutes and demonstrated a solid performance in defense. The Sofascore portal rated his performance with a 6.7 score.
This trophy marks the second cup for Husanov with Manchester City. As a reminder, he also won the EFL Cup on April 22 of this year after a victory over Arsenal.
