Andrew Robertson: Isak and Wirtz will prove themselves at Liverpool

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has responded to criticism surrounding the club's new signings, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz. The Scotsman expressed confidence that despite their debut seasons at Anfield not going as expected, they will become club legends in the future. This is reported by Goal.com .

The Merseysiders spent £116 million on Florian Wirtz and a British record £125 million on Alexander Isak to refresh the squad. However, due to the team's overall dip in form and inconsistency, both young stars have struggled to showcase their best football. Robertson believes the high transfer fees are creating unfair pressure on the players.

"The thing that angers me most in football is that players don't set their own price tags. It depends on supply and demand in the market. I see their attitude in training and matches, and I have no doubt they will build amazing careers at Liverpool. They just need a little time," Robertson emphasized.

Currently, Liverpool is fighting to break into the top five of the Premier League. Robertson admitted the team is going through a transition period and that not only the newcomers but also experienced players are performing below their level. Nevertheless, he remains confident that the club has a bright future.
