The world's first 10G network goes live. China is ahead again
Huawei and China Unicom have launched the world’s first 10G internet network, according to Mydrivers.

Powered by 50G PON technology, the network was activated in Xiong’an district.

Download speed: 9834 Mbps. Upload: 1008 Mbps. Latency: just 3 milliseconds.

To put it simply: a 90GB 8K movie can now be downloaded in just 72 seconds. A gigabit connection would take around 12 minutes.

What’s more impressive — the network remains stable even with multiple smart devices connected at once.

As of January 2025, China has installed 4.25 million 5G base stations — the most in the world.

Can you imagine 10G speed? When will it reach the rest of us?
