Grok’s second anime companion will be named Valentin, Elon Musk announced on social network X, reports uz.kursiv.media.
Earlier, Musk posted an anime-style image of a young man and asked users to suggest names. After reviewing the many responses, he chose “Valentin.”
The name is a tribute to the main character from Robert Heinlein’s sci-fi novel Stranger in a Strange Land. That novel introduced the term “Grok,” which means to deeply understand and empathize. Since its release in 1961, the term gained popularity among American hippies.
Users on X proposed hundreds of names for the AI character. One user jokingly asked the chatbot to pick a name that most people would dislike. Grok replied with “Adolf,” noting that it means “noble wolf.” Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
