Elon Musk introduced Grokipedia as a competitor to Wikipedia

American billionaire Elon Musk presented his next technological project - the Grokipedia platform.

The new site is based on Musk's Grock AI and is reminiscent of Wikipedia's simplicity and design. But it presents itself as an "AI-encyclopedia aimed at illuminating the whole truth."

According to the data, Grokipedia currently has about 800,000 articles. For comparison, in Wikipedia, this figure exceeds 7 million. According to Musk, the platform will expand over time, and the quality of data will improve as Grock's artificial intelligence improves.

Musk jokingly added that he had plans to "send copies of Grokipedia to the orbit of the Moon and Mars."

The biggest difference of the new encyclopedia is that it works in a closed system. Users cannot edit articles, they can only report an error in the annotation form.

Some users also drew attention to the ideological differences between Wikipedia and Grokipedia. For example:

When Wikipedia describes Musk as a "controversial person,"

Grokipedia presents him as "a person who influenced technological progress."

According to Musk, this project will be "the next step towards the harmonization of artificial intelligence and human knowledge."

"As Grok improves, Grokipedia also improves," he wrote in a post on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.
