Sony introduces PlayStation game license checks every 30 days

Sony has launched a new game protection system on PlayStation consoles without announcement. This system requires users to connect to the internet periodically. Ixbt.com reports this.
According to the new rule, the game license is checked once every 30 days. If the console is not connected to the network for more than 30 days, the license is temporarily revoked and the game cannot be launched.
This even applies to offline games.
To restore the ability to play, it will be necessary to connect to the internet and renew the license. Support service confirmed that this is not an error and is a new system.
The restriction applies to all games purchased after March on PS4 and PS5 consoles.
According to some assumptions, Sony wants to prevent hacking attacks through this. Due to an old vulnerability, users were able to get a refund for a game and keep the license on the console.
The new protection system works actively during the initial 14-day refund period.
