According to The Wall Street Journal, the company plans to invest tens of billions of dollars in physical infrastructure. This is considered a logical step for the fund, which holds significant stakes in companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI.

The first major step for the Next Frontier project will be the acquisition of land in Indiana to build a massive data center campus. As a key part of the strategy, a joint venture has been established with the startup Fluidstack.

The new joint venture has raised $5.7 billion through the issuance of high-yield bonds. These funds will be directed toward developing a 430 MW facility in Indiana.

Anthropic has confirmed its intention to launch its own capacity in Texas and New York throughout 2026 to reduce its dependence on Google and Amazon servers. Currently, access to affordable electricity and land is becoming the most critical factor in the artificial intelligence industry.
