Samsung releases One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy S26

Samsung has begun rolling out the second April update, One UI 8.5, for the Galaxy S26 flagship series in Europe. This software, with build numbers S948BXXU2AZDE and S948BOXM2AZDE, was previously released in the South Korean market. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

The new firmware will soon be available to users in other regions. According to the official changelog, the overall stability and reliability of the system have been improved. It is worth noting that the security patch level remains set for April 2026.

Additionally, there are plans to bring one of the key features exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S26 flagships, the Horizontal Lock mode, to older devices. This feature was previously considered exclusive to the new flagships.

At the moment, there is information that the next major update for the Samsung Galaxy S26, One UI 9, has also appeared on the company's servers.
