Will Lovable's 10% salary increase change corporate culture

Stockholm-based Lovable, known as a "vibe-coding" platform, is promising a guaranteed 10% annual salary increase for employees on their work anniversary. This approach is rare in the US corporate world, as most companies prefer to rely on stock options or bonus systems rather than base salary hikes. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

The company is growing its revenue at a very rapid pace. In March, Lovable announced that its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) had exceeded $400 million and projects it to reach $1 billion by the end of the year. Such financial growth allows the company to consistently raise employee base salaries.

Many startups prefer to offer stock options to save cash, as this does not require immediate capital expenditure from the company. However, Lovable's leadership believes that direct salary increases are more effective for ensuring employee loyalty.

According to Elena Verna, Lovable's Chief Growth Officer, this approach could eliminate toxic politics in the corporate environment. Employees can focus on the quality of their work without having to prove their worth every year, which fosters a healthy company culture.
