Perplexity's Personal Computer app is now available for Mac users

Perplexity has announced that its AI-powered Personal Computer tool is now open to all Mac users. This application was developed as a competitor to local AI agents like OpenClaw, allowing direct interaction with the user's personal files, applications, and internet data. According to Techcrunch.com reports .
Personal Computer is not just a cloud service, but an assistant that runs on the user's device. It is capable of exchanging data between various programs, analyzing documents, and automating complex tasks through over 400 connectors. The company pays special attention to security, promising to process user data in a protected environment.
The new tool is designed to run autonomous agents on always-on devices like Mac Mini. Users can even initiate tasks or approve AI-sent requests remotely via iPhone. Along with this update, Perplexity announced that it will discontinue the old Mac app in the coming weeks and redirect all resources to the new Personal Computer project.
