US President Donald Trump has announced that China is on the verge of placing one of the largest orders in Boeing's history. The agreement initially involves the delivery of more than 200 aircraft. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
If the partnership proves successful, the parties are considering the possibility of expanding the contract to 750 aircraft. This deal includes not only the planes but also General Electric engines.
The delivery of 400–450 engines is planned for the initial 200 aircraft. As the volume of orders increases in the future, the demand for engines is expected to grow proportionally.
It has not yet been officially disclosed which specific models China has chosen. However, there have been previous reports regarding negotiations for the purchase of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and wide-body airliners.
