It has maintained its status as the best-selling smartphone for two months due to its flagship features and affordable price. Technically, the smartphones are equipped with powerful processors. The base Mate 80 runs on the Kirin 9020 chip, while the other models operate on the Kirin 9030 and 9030 Pro platforms. Specifically, the Mate 80 Pro model is available in two variants depending on RAM: 12 GB (Kirin 9030) and 16 GB (Kirin 9030 Pro).
The new series also stands out for its unique innovations. The Mate 80 series are the first smartphones capable of emergency communication at 700 MHz without connecting to operator networks. Additionally, the devices support satellite messaging via the BeiDou system and image transmission via the MeeTime app.
