China is preparing to launch a series of new rockets through a partnership between the state and the private sector. In the coming months, the country plans to test launch vehicles such as the Long March 12B, Pallas-1, Hyperbola-3, and Long March 10B. The main goal is to expand orbital payload delivery capabilities and develop reusable rockets for future satellite constellations and lunar programs. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
The Long March 12B, which is closest to launch, has already been installed on the launch pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. This kerosene and liquid oxygen-powered rocket is capable of delivering up to 20 tons to low Earth orbit. While landing legs are visible on the first stage, it is currently unknown whether engineers will attempt a recovery landing during the maiden flight.
Private space projects are also developing actively. Galactic Energy is preparing its first liquid-fueled Pallas-1 rocket. It was designed from the start for reusability and is equipped with control fins and landing legs. Additionally, iSpace is working on the Hyperbola-3 project. Tests of the first-stage landing system for this rocket have been completed, and the first flight is expected by the end of 2026.
Meanwhile, China is also preparing for the debut of the Long March 10B rocket, designed to transport crewed spacecraft to the Moon. This launch vehicle will become part of the lunar program alongside the new Mengzhou spacecraft. The rocket has been delivered to the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site and has undergone initial inspections. In the future, the Long March 10B is also planned to be equipped with a sea platform landing system.
