Uzbekistan received a fishing quota of 25 thousand tons from Russia
Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed on fishing quotas for the current year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's fishing companies were allowed to catch 5 thousand tons of pollock and 20 thousand tons of flounder in the Russian economic zones of the Chukotka, Bering, Okhotsk, Japan Seas, and the Pacific Ocean. This will significantly help increase the supply volume of new and high-quality fish products to the Uzbekistan market.

The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Kahramon Yoldoshev, and the Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Fisheries Agency, Andrey Yakovlev. The negotiations discussed cooperation opportunities and prospects in the fishing sector.

At the end of the meeting, the final protocol of the first joint commission session on cooperation in the fishing sector was signed. The document outlined the main directions of cooperation for the coming years and the mechanisms for its implementation.
