
French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to award Shavkat Mirziyoyev the highest state award of France - the Legion of Honor.
Earlier, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the Maison des Honors in Paris for President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a state visit to France.
After the ceremony, the head of state, accompanied by the Horse Guards and motorcyclists, headed to the Elysee Palace, the residence of the French President, for high-level negotiations.
About Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to France
On February 11, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, the President of Uzbekistan arrived in Paris on a state visit. During the visit, which will take place on March 11-13, high-level negotiations and events, as well as a number of meetings with the official and business circles of France, are planned to be held in Paris. The agenda of the upcoming dialogues includes issues of further development and strengthening of multifaceted Uzbek-French relations.
According to Le Figaro, energy issues will occupy a central place in the discussions during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France.
On the eve of the visit, an Uzbekistan tourism forum was organized in Paris. A joint conference on the topic “Science and Education: Uzbekistan - France Bridge” was held. A France - Uzbekistan business forum was held with the participation of heads of relevant ministries, departments of Uzbekistan and France, as well as heads of about 100 leading companies, financial and business organizations. More than 20 agreements and contracts were signed at the forum.
The head of state previously visited France in 2018 and 2022. French President Emmanuel Macron paid an official visit to Uzbekistan in 2023.
