Now deported citizens will not be able to travel abroad for 2 years
Now, citizens readmitted in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan will not be provided with a state service for issuing biometric passports for travel abroad for two years.

In this regard, the Government Resolution No. 313 “On Additional Measures to Improve Labor Migration Processes” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, starting from September 1, 2025, the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers will maintain information on citizens deported as a result of violation of the legislative acts of a foreign state, as well as on citizens who have committed actions that negatively affect the international prestige and reputation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, through the Unified Electronic Database of Information on Migration Processes.

The following will be included in the Unified Database as an electronic register:
  • Information received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan from diplomatic missions and consular institutions abroad;
  • Information on persons readmitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with international treaties;
  • Information received from the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and its representative offices (representatives) abroad.

In accordance with the Regulation "On the Procedure for Traveling Abroad by Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan", approved by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4079, citizens readmitted in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan are not provided with state services for issuing biometric passports for travel abroad for two years.

In this case, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan determines the exceptions in which biometric passports are issued to readmitted citizens for travel abroad.

For your information, readmitted persons are citizens who have been returned to Uzbekistan voluntarily or forcibly, on the basis of international agreements between Uzbekistan and other states. That is, if an Uzbek citizen who has illegally stayed abroad, whose visa has expired, or who has been deported, is accepted by Uzbekistan - this process is called readmission.
