The official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Slovenia has come to an end. The press service of the President reported this.

The first Uzbek-Slovenian summit in the last 20 years marked a new stage in the history of bilateral relations.

Within the framework of the visit, meaningful negotiations were held with Slovenian President Natasa Pirs Musar, Prime Minister Robert Golob, and Speaker of the National Assembly Urška Klakočar-Župančič.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues covering politics, economics, investments, industrial cooperation, ecology, culture, tourism and education.

A joint statement was adopted, as well as a significant set of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements that consolidated the agreements reached in priority areas.

At the end of the visit, the Uzbek-Slovenian business forum was held with the participation of the heads of state and representatives of about 100 leading companies of the two countries.

At the Ljubljana International Airport, the high-ranking guest was seen off by the Minister of Internal Affairs Boštjan Poklukár and other officials. The head of state left for Tashkent.
