Major changes have been made to government decisions: impact on the population and tourism

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has approved important amendments and additions to a number of government resolutions in order to improve the living standards of the population, ensure environmental sustainability, and further increase the potential of tourism. These changes are of great importance not only for business entities, but also for the local population and the environment.

In particular, the Amudarya and Bozatov districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan have been officially included in the list of regions with difficult natural and climatic conditions. This paves the way for improving working conditions in these regions and introducing additional benefits for employees (including extending the duration of annual leave).

At the same time, another important innovation in the tourism sector is the extension of the deadline for applying for subsidies for the construction and equipment of hotels from March 1 to December 31, 2025. These measures will create more opportunities for entrepreneurs who have built new hotels with 50 or more rooms since 2019.

Fundamental changes are also being implemented in the field of ecology. The deadline for equipping category I industrial enterprises with automatic monitoring equipment, dust and gas purification and water treatment systems has been postponed until January 1, 2026, and for category II enterprises until July 1, 2026. This is expected to have a positive effect not only for manufacturers, but also for public health and environmental protection.

The decisions were introduced as amendments to the following regulatory legal acts:

- Resolution on the labor market dated 06.09.2019;
- Resolution on supporting the hotel business dated 07.09.2024;
- Resolution on environmental control dated 25.11.2024.

The changes represent not only a new stage of reforms, but also a strengthening of the country's approach to social responsibility, economic incentives and environmental protection.
