In order to get acquainted with the ongoing reforms and regional development in the Kashkadarya region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev traveled by train from Karshi to Shakhrisabz on June 19. According to the press service of the head of state, during the trip, the president met with regional activists and talked about modern changes in cities and villages, the standard of living of the population, and the importance of peace.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the incomparable role of roads in economic development and the well-being of the population. The president gave instructions to officials to improve the condition of roads and bridges, accelerate projects, and intensify landscaping work. It was noted that in the last two years, 40 thousand kilometers of roads and 540 bridges have been repaired across the country, and this year, 100 kilometers of highways will be renovated in Kashkadarya alone.
The President began his visit by getting acquainted with the modern "Alp Techno Service" electrical engineering enterprise in the city of Karshi. It is also planned to study the working procedures of enterprises operating in important sectors such as industry, medicine, tourism, and energy in the region, as well as construction and improvement work in the neighborhoods.
It is also planned to hold a large-scale meeting on the priority areas and future tasks of the socio-economic development of the Kashkadarya region.
