200 modern electric buses: on the verge of a new agreement with China

Uzbekistan may take another significant step in forming an environmentally friendly and modern public transportation system. This was discussed during the meeting between the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilhom Abdugafforov, and the delegation led by the Chairman of China Exim Bank, Chen ShuaiShui.

In the near future – 200 electric buses
Negotiations were held on bringing 200 eco-friendly electric buses to Uzbekistan and financing this process.

Also under discussion – a project for 1000 additional buses
Apart from the electric buses, the sides exchanged views on purchasing 1000 additional modern buses.

Infrastructure and transport reforms
A number of infrastructure projects financed by the bank were also discussed.
