Intercity buses in Uzbekistan to receive subsidies per passenger

In Uzbekistan, buses and minibuses operating between cities and regions will receive government subsidies for each passenger, Kursiv.media reported.

This was announced during a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Additionally, disposal fee exemptions for buses have been extended for another three years. These benefits will now also apply to minibuses.

Public transport will be eligible for customs duty exemptions for three years — previously these applied only to tourist vehicles.

To qualify for the subsidies, transport operators must meet two conditions:
• Strictly follow the official schedule.
