Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed to increase the number of flights and expand the geography of routes, Kursiv.uz reported. In total, airlines have received the right to operate more than 1,000 flights per week.
By the end of July this year, the number of regular flights per week is 310.
Uzbek and Russian airlines have been granted the right to operate up to 50 flights per week between Tashkent and Moscow. There will also be 23 flights per week between Samarkand and Moscow, and 10 flights per week from Termez to the Russian capital.
In addition, Uzbekistan and Russia have allowed airlines to operate 14 flights per week from Tashkent to Saint Petersburg, as well as from the Uzbek capital to Krasnoyarsk and Sochi.
Furthermore, Russian airlines can operate 7 flights per week from 80 international airports to all international airports in Uzbekistan.
For Uzbek airlines, 29 major Russian airports have been made available.
