The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted an important resolution “On approval of the international agreement”. According to it, the agreement on air transport between the governments of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia was officially approved.
This international agreement was signed on October 22, 2024 in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, and is expected to bring cooperation in the aviation sector between the two countries to a new level. The agreement will serve to strengthen mutual relations in the field of air transport, expand the geography of flights, and increase passenger and cargo transportation capabilities.
In accordance with the presidential decree, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan was designated as the authorized body responsible for the implementation of this agreement. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and organizations were tasked with ensuring strict control over the practical implementation of all its terms and requirements after the agreement enters into force.
Such international agreements, along with increasing the transport and logistics potential of Uzbekistan, will further strengthen the country's position in the international arena.
