For applicants entering higher education, the issue of accommodation in student dormitories has always been important. The announcement of the results of entrance test exams (mandate) for the 2025/2026 academic year was awaited by everyone. However, at the same time, among young men and women admitted to the first year, the question has increased: “Why can’t we use the service of submitting an application for a dormitory?”
It is known that every young person recommended for admission has the opportunity to reside in a dormitory at state higher educational institutions. This process is carried out through Public Service Centers or online via the my.gov.uz portal. Thus, convenience is provided for students.
However, at present, the process of uploading data about those recommended for admission to the first stage into the “Student Dormitory” information system is ongoing. That is, due to technical work being carried out, the service for submitting applications for dormitories has not yet been launched.
According to official information, after the system is updated and the necessary data is fully entered into the database, applicants admitted to the first year will be able to submit an application. Additional information on when the service will become operational will be announced separately by the relevant authorities.
In addition, according to the regulations of the ministry, dormitories first accept applicants who have benefits and priorities. After they are accommodated, the remaining free places in the dormitories are distributed among students from the general list on a queue basis.
It is noted that 55–65 percent of places in dormitories are allocated for first-year students. This can create additional opportunities for many young people.
