Heating and hot water tariffs in Tashkent are set to increase, Kursiv reported. The Council of People’s Deputies has approved a proposal from Veolia Energy Tashkent.
Prices will rise by 15% for households, 40% for businesses, and 18.8% for budget organizations. The decision now awaits the signature of Tashkent mayor Shavkat Umurzakov. Veolia proposes that the new tariffs take effect from October 1, 2025.
According to Veolia Energy Tashkent CEO Sevara Pardayeva, residents currently pay only 18% of the real cost, with the rest covered by state subsidies. The government plans to phase out subsidies completely by 2030, shifting the full cost to consumers.
In 2025–2026, Veolia also plans to repair and replace nearly 474 km of worn-out pipelines, overhaul 73 km of heating networks, and upgrade boiler houses and pumping stations.
