On August 24 of this year, in the Ishtikhan district of Samarkand region, a fire broke out at the "Polvon ota" cemetery. The fire was extinguished, but approximately 50 acres of grass and vegetation burned down. This was reported by the Samarkand Regional Emergency Management Department.
According to the information, at 17:10, a report about the fire at the cemetery in the "Topor" MFO of Ishtikhan district was received through the "112" system. Two fire-fighting crews promptly arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire at 17:30. By 19:00, the fire was fully extinguished.
As a result of the fire, around 50 acres of grass and plants were burned. There were no casualties or injuries. Currently, preliminary investigations are being conducted.
Such fires, which occur in places like cemeteries and parks, are often due to the large amount of vegetation. In these situations, preventive measures and checks are crucial to prevent such incidents.
