Uzbekistan and Jordan to Establish a Visa-Free Regime

Following the successful negotiations held in Samarkand, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein issued a joint statement on strengthening their partnership relations.

During the visit, 15 bilateral documents were signed, including:

  • Agreement on Extradition;

  • Agreement on the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments;

  • Agreement on the Establishment of a Joint Commission;

  • Agreement on the Abolition of Visa Requirements;

  • Agreement on Cooperation in Higher Education and Scientific Research;

  • Agreement on Cooperation in the Tourism Sector;

  • Declaration on Amendments to the Intergovernmental Agreement on Air Travel;

  • Declaration on the Initial Exchange of Data on the Movement of Goods and Transport Vehicles Online;

  • Agreement on Cooperation in Agriculture;

  • Agreement on Cooperation in Plant Quarantine and Protection;

  • Agreement on Cooperation in Veterinary Affairs;

  • Memorandum on Standardization, Metrology, and Conformity Assessment;

  • Interagency Memorandums on Religious Affairs;

  • Action Plan for the Implementation of Agreements Reached During the State Visit of Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein.
