The Mufti spoke about the expansion of Uzbekistan's international relations

Within the framework of the first state visit of King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of Jordan, which is noted as an important event in the history of Uzbekistan, 15 important documents were signed between the two countries. It was also announced that a visa-free regime would be introduced between the two countries. During the visit, as one of the most significant events, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the highest award of the Kingdom of Jordan - the "An-Nahda" Order.
The Chairman of the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, commented on the significance of this visit and the award, evaluating it as a historic event:
- A very large historical meeting took place in Samarkand. The President of our country was awarded the highest order of Jordan - "An-Nahda." "This order is a badge awarded to distinguished individuals," he said.
According to the Mufti, this event is evidence that Uzbekistan's current policy is being shown as an example in the world:
- At the initiative of the President of our country, fundamental reforms are being carried out not only in domestic policy, but also in relations with neighboring states. If we compare the situation in previous years with the current one, everyone can see the difference. Uzbekistan, which was previously a closed state, has now expanded and established free relations with its neighbors. This process has now risen to a new level with the Middle East and Arab countries. The President's foresight and political will laid the foundation for this process," said Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar.
According to the Mufti, Jordan, as an influential country in the Muslim world, is an important partner for Uzbekistan.
- Our President strengthened relations with Arab countries. Good relations have been established with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and other countries. This will make a great contribution not only to economic or political cooperation, but also to religious and spiritual cooperation. Therefore, this order is a great honor not only for our President, but also for the entire Uzbek people. "This means that the leader of Uzbekistan has found his place on the world stage," he said.
Thus, the visit of the King of Jordan not only strengthened relations between the two states, but also further enhanced Uzbekistan's influence in international politics.
