What September will be like: hot days and cool nights

According to data from “Uzhydromet,” the first ten days of September in our country are expected to bring mostly clear and dry weather with comfortable temperatures.

At night and early in the morning, temperatures of +15...+20 degrees will bring refreshing coolness. During the day, however, under the sun’s rays, the temperature will rise to +35 degrees, and on some days up to +37 degrees.

By the end of September, temperatures are forecasted to gradually change: nighttime lows will shift from +15...+20 to +8...+13 degrees, while daytime highs will decrease from +30...+35 to +20...+25 degrees.

The average monthly temperature will remain around the norm, with some regions seeing 1–1.5 degrees above normal. In the second half of the month, short-term rain (1–2 days) is also possible.

Historical records show that the coldest Septembers in Uzbekistan were in 1930 and 1931, when temperatures were 2–3.5 degrees below normal. In the last decade, such conditions were observed in 1992 and 1994. The warmest Septembers were recorded in 2013, 2016, 2021, and 2022, when temperatures were 1.5–3.5 degrees above normal. This aligns with the global warming trend.

Experts note that September is one of the driest months of the year in Uzbekistan. Typically, rain falls 1–3 times per month, though in some years there was no rainfall at all across the country. In this century, such anomalies occurred in 2007, 2021, and 2022.

Thus, September is expected to be remembered not only for its cool nights but also for its sunny and hot days. Officials recommend that everyone stay prepared for weather changes and closely monitor forecasts.
