On August 30, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev officially awarded the former state advisor, the late Rustam Sobirovich Kasimov, with the Order "Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun" (For Selfless Service). The corresponding decree will be signed on August 30.
The decree emphasizes that the late Kasimov made a significant contribution to the development of the healthcare system, educational processes, science, diplomacy, culture, and sports in our country through his extensive knowledge and high potential, initiative, and organizational skills. He is also recognized for his exemplary services in training highly qualified specialists, strengthening interethnic and interfaith harmony, ensuring stability and peace, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to the Motherland.
The decree states:
"For a great contribution to strengthening the independence of our country and its spiritual foundations, the development of the spheres of healthcare, education, science, diplomacy, culture and sports, the training of highly qualified personnel, the strengthening of peace and stability in society, interethnic and interreligious friendship and harmony, the wide promotion of national and universal values, the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland, his great knowledge and potential, initiative and organizational qualities, as well as in connection with the 70th anniversary of his birth, award the well-known statesman and public figure, scientist and pedagogue, the late Kasimov Rustam Sabirovich, with the order "Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun."
For information, Rustam Kasimov was born on August 30, 1956, in Tashkent. In different years, he held the positions of First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, and Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Healthcare, Social Spheres, and Youth Policy. He also served as State Advisor to the President in the fields of science, education, healthcare, and sports, as well as State Advisor on Relations with Public and Religious Organizations.
