New cameras are being installed in Tashkent markets to monitor prices.

The Tashkent city administration has outlined new technical measures to make the trade process in markets more transparent for the population and consumers and to prevent artificial price increases for products.

According to reports circulating on social media in recent days, residents have expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that products are being sold in some stalls in contrast to the prices announced. Therefore, it was necessary to take special measures to prevent artificial price increases in markets where the sale of discounted products is organized and to ensure transparency in the trading process.

According to the khokimiyat, the installation of surveillance cameras has been fully completed at the Mirabad and Eski Juva (Chorsu) markets. Now, thanks to this modern technical control system, disorder in the sales process, illegal markups, or unfair behavior towards consumers will be prevented.

Within the framework of this project, it is planned to gradually install surveillance cameras in other large and important markets of the capital. This will serve to control trade relations in the markets, create a safe and comfortable environment for buyers.
