According to statistics published by the Tashkent city administration through the Open Data Portal, from 2018 to August 2025, a total of 32,028 road traffic accidents (RTA) were recorded in the republic. These indicators fully reflect the situation related to road safety and the transport system in the capital.

According to experts, the average annual value for 2018-2024, that is, 4,350 road accidents occurred during the year, increased by 10.02% in 2025. These indicators are especially noteworthy for their further growth as a result of the new rules that came into force on April 1, 2023 - reducing the speed of movement in cities from 70 km/h to 60 km/h.

If we look at it by years, if in 2021 there were 3,452 road accidents in the capital, then in 2022 this number reached 5,094, in 2023 - 4,733, and in 2024 - 5,008. Between January and August 2025, the number of road accidents approached 4,350. In April-July of this year, the number of traffic accidents in the capital was around 630-640 per month.

The geographical distribution of phenomena is also significant. The number of road accidents in the districts of the capital in 2018-2025 was recorded as follows:

1. Yunusabad - 4,232;

2. Chilanzar - 4,214;

3. Yashnabad - 3,219;

4. Mirzo Ulugbek - 3,136;

5. Shaykhantakhur - 2,917 units;

6. Olmazor - 2,806;

7. Uchtepa - 2,594;

8. Seregli - 2,322;

9. Mirabad - 2,161;

10.Yakkasaray - 1,719 units;

11. Bektemir - 1,596;

12.Yangikhayot - 1,041 units;
