Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Karomiddin Gadoyev held a meeting with Praba Txiagarajax, founder and executive chairman of the board of directors of one of the country's largest IT companies - Basis Bay. During the conversation, the directions and prospects of cooperation in the field of digital technologies were discussed.
According to Praba Txiagarajax, the company has established a single fully national resident-based data center in Malaysia. At the same time, it is distinguished by the fact that in 2009, for the first time in the Asian region, an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient "green" data center was created.
At the meeting, taking into account the efforts of Uzbekistan in the direction of developing the digital economy, its favorable geographical location and potential, the possibilities of building a new data center in our country and attracting investments in this area were considered in detail.
"We plan to send a working delegation of our specialists to Tashkent in the coming days to thoroughly study the prospects for the construction of the information technology market and data center of Uzbekistan," said Txiagarajax.
For reference, Basis Bay was founded in 1996 and has become one of the leading IT sectors in Malaysia. The main activity is focused on providing data centers and cloud services. Currently, the company operates four large data centers in Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings.
