According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-August 2025, the number of foreigners who arrived in Uzbekistan for tourism purposes exceeded 7.5 million people. This is almost 2.5 million more than in the same period last year, an increase of 49.1 percent.

According to the data, the majority of visitors to Uzbekistan are residents of neighboring countries, and visiting relatives remains the main goal among them. Nevertheless, the fact that the number of tourists has exceeded 1.1 million shows that the tourism sector of Uzbekistan is developing.
