If you visit the ancient village of Sentob in the Navoi region, you will see houses and structures built of stone. Currently, Sentob has received the status of a tourist village and is attracting more and more local and foreign tourists.
Nearly three thousand people live in this village, located in the Navoi mountains. Sentob is known for its picturesque nature, rich cultural heritage, and preserved national values. Tourists who come here not only enjoy beautiful landscapes, but also witness traces of ancient civilization.
About twenty guest houses and three modern hotels operate in the village. Through them, guests will be provided with convenience and national hospitality. One of the most interesting aspects is that Sentob has preserved its historical architectural appearance. Therefore, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of ancient people.
Another peculiarity of Sentob is its geographical location. Aydarkul is located 30 kilometers from the village, which further enhances the tourist attractiveness of Sentob. Eight yurt camps have been built on the shores of the Big Lake, and they can accommodate more than three thousand tourists simultaneously.
According to official data, more than 70 thousand foreign and about 450 thousand local tourists visited Aydarkul during 2024. This year, this figure is slightly lower, with over 50,000 foreign and nearly 200,000 local tourists arriving.
Today, the village of Sentob is considered one of the most interesting tourist destinations not only in the Navoi region, but also throughout Uzbekistan. This place, where history and nature are intertwined, will undoubtedly remain in the memory of every visitor for a long time.
