New opportunities have been created for elderly people in Uzbekistan. Women over the age of 55 and men over the age of 60 can now purchase tickets for domestic train routes with a 20% discount. This benefit provides pensioners with additional opportunities for rest and travel.
According to the information from Uzbekistan Railways, the discount has been introduced as part of the "Elderly Week" and "Pensioner Tourism Month." Furthermore, this discount will be valid for one month for pensioners.
The discount will apply to all domestic train routes, except for the high-speed "Afrosiyob" train. Tickets with the discount can be purchased at ticket offices or online from October 2 to 8 and from November 1 to 30.
This new additional opportunity will help pensioners make their train journeys to various destinations more affordable and meet their need for relaxation.
