In the city of Samarkand, during the construction of a multi-storey building, a landslide caused a truck parked by the roadside to fall into a pit. The incident occurred due to failure to follow safety rules, uz24 reports.
The construction pit was dug without adhering to the approved project and safety requirements. As a result, the ground near the road caved in.
The construction is being carried out by “Samarkand Oxygen Service” company. They are building residential housing on the site of demolished industrial buildings.
The contractor arbitrarily narrowed the road between buildings 10 and 26 on “Baghdad” street, causing inconvenience for both vehicles and pedestrians. On September 22, the inspection issued instructions to eliminate the shortcomings within 15 days.
If this instruction is not followed, the company will be held liable in accordance with the Administrative Offenses Code.
Local residents point out that construction work is ongoing, but safety measures have not been taken.
