Today, October 13, sharp changes in weather are expected in a number of regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the information service of Uzhydromet.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions, wind speeds may reach 13-18 meters per hour. In some places, it is possible to observe snowdrifts accompanied by wind.
Experts note that such weather conditions not only limit visibility but can also negatively affect the respiratory system. Therefore, residents are advised to take precautions, avoid going outside unnecessarily, and use protective masks when going outside.
"Residents and guests living in these areas are asked to be careful. "It is necessary to avoid staying outdoors for as long as possible, and children and the elderly should be kept indoors as much as possible," Uzhydromet said.
It is also recommended to be cautious when driving on highways, especially to reduce speed when visibility decreases due to snow and dust.
According to forecasters, today's snowy weather is mainly characteristic of the western and central regions of the country, with wind currents directed from north to south. A sharp change in air temperature is not expected, but there is a high probability of a decrease in air quality.
Experts say that such weather conditions may persist for 1-2 days.
