Hot water and heating prices to increase by 15% in Tashkent

In Tashkent city, tariffs for hot water and heating services will be increased by 15 percent, reported Veolia Energy Tashkent.

According to the decision of the city mayor, new tariffs for centralized heating services provided by the company have been approved.

Under the new rates, the base tariff (excluding VAT) is set at 711,641 soums per Gcal; for the population — 139,860 soums; for budget organizations — 952,797 soums; and for other large consumers — 342,296 soums per Gcal.

According to the company, residents of the capital currently pay only 18 percent of the base tariff, while the remaining portion is covered through city budget subsidies. The government plans to gradually phase out these subsidies by 2030.

Veolia Energy Tashkent aims to make consumers fully responsible for payment of heating services within the next five years.

The company also noted that in 2025, gas and electricity tariffs will increase not from April 1, but from May 1, and for heating sources — from June 15.

The new decision will take effect from the date of its official publication.
