Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation headed by Sergio Gore, the US President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia, in Tashkent, president.uz reports. The meeting was attended by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and a number of officials. The conversation focused on further deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries and expanding cooperation in new areas.
During the conversation, issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the high-level meeting on September 23 of this year in New York were discussed. Sergio Gore conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of US President Donald Trump to the head of state.
President Mirziyoyev noted with satisfaction the dynamic political dialogue, the expansion of economic cooperation and business contacts between the two countries. It was especially noted that the visit of the US Chamber of Commerce delegation to Tashkent at the beginning of October laid the foundation for new projects between the business circles of the two countries.

At the meeting, the relevance of implementing projects in the areas defined within the framework of the "road map" - industry, finance, important minerals, energy, digital economy, and agriculture - was raised. The parties emphasized that this cooperation should contribute not only to economic benefits, but also to strengthening regional stability and security.
An agreement was also reached to strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism, restricting illegal migration, and ensuring information security. Mirziyoyev and representatives of the US delegation also exchanged views on global and regional issues.
During the meeting, preparations for the upcoming C5+1 summit in Washington were discussed. This summit is expected to take the dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and the USA to a new level.

The parties agreed to continue active contacts, develop new joint projects, and enrich the strategic partnership with practical results.
Thus, President Mirziyoyev's meeting with the US delegation marked a significant milestone in relations between the two countries, paving the way for new directions, further strengthening Uzbekistan's policy of open diplomacy, economic cooperation, and regional stability.
