An environmental event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of UNESCO was held in Namangan. As part of this event, 80,000 ornamental and fruit tree saplings were planted in the "New Uzbekistan" park located in the Davlatobod district of Namangan region.
Of these, 5,000 saplings were planted within the city of Namangan itself. This was reported by the press service of the Namangan Regional Department of Ecology.
The event was held under the leadership of the Namangan regional governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov. Representatives of the regional, city and district communities, employees of various agencies and organizations, company workers, active citizens, youth and representatives of the mass media participated.
According to the organizers, volunteer participants planted the saplings in their allocated areas with good intentions.
