Information has been provided about the weather in Uzbekistan during November. This was reported by the Center of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet).
According to long-term observations, the average monthly temperature in November is 6-7°C lower than in October, and in the northern and desert regions, this difference reaches 8-9°C. Sharp temperature fluctuations are characteristic for November.
According to meteorological observation history, the highest temperature reached 30-33°C, while in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm region, and the Fergana Valley, this figure was 26-28°C. The lowest temperature was recorded in the last century: during the coldest Novembers, temperatures in most areas reached 19-24°C below zero, in the north 28-31°C below zero, and in the south 10-15°C below zero.
In the last decade, such severe colds have not been observed in November. In the current century, the lowest temperature in most regions was 10-15°C below zero, which was recorded in 2016 and 2020.
During those periods, the maximum daytime temperature did not exceed 0-3°C above zero. Karakalpakstan and Ustyurt regions are noted as exceptions, where temperatures reached 18-21°C below zero in 2006, 2016, and 2020, and 26-28°C below zero in Ustyurt region.
The warmest November occurred in 2023, when the average monthly temperature was 3-6°C above the climatic norm. In the country, except for the northern and desert regions, the temperature did not drop below zero even once.
Interestingly, over the last 25 years, there has been a tendency for the average temperature in November to decrease, making it less susceptible to the general warming trend. In November, precipitation (rain, sometimes snow) is observed more frequently and is more intense than in October.
The first snow cover forms in mountainous regions; in lower zones, it does not remain stable. At an altitude of 2000-2200 meters, by the end of the month, the thickness of the snow cover may reach 25-40 cm.
The rainiest November in observation history was in 2011. At that time, the amount of precipitation exceeded the monthly norm by 3-3.5 times, and in the south by 4-7 times.
For example, in Tashkent, 167 mm of precipitation was recorded (norm is 51 mm), and in Termez 148 mm (norm is 20 mm). However, there have also been very dry Novembers; for example, in some cases the amount of precipitation did not exceed 1-30% of the norm.
At the beginning of November, on the 1st-2nd, dry weather is expected throughout the country. Daytime temperatures will be 15-20°C above zero.
Starting from November 3rd in the northern regions, and from November 4th throughout Uzbekistan, cold and humid air masses will move in. On November 3-5 in some places in the country, rain is expected; in the foothills and mountainous regions, the rain may turn to snow.
From November 4-7, temperatures will gradually decrease: at night 0-3°C above zero, with freezing in some areas, and during the day temperatures will be 8-13°C above zero. By the end of the month, nighttime temperatures are expected to fluctuate between -2°C and +10°C, and daytime temperatures between 8°C and 23°C.
In November 2025, the average monthly temperature is forecasted to be 1-1.5°C below or close to the climatic norm. Precipitation will mainly be in the form of rain, observed in the second and third ten-day periods of the month, on some days (2-3 days).
