In Uzbekistan, the first 15-day results of the ongoing “Month of Cleanliness and Order” have been announced, the Ecology Committee reported.
According to the data, from October 15 to November 15, large-scale cleaning and beautification works were carried out across the country. More than 19,000 sanitation service employees actively participated in the process.
During this period, cleaning was conducted in nearly 32,000 mahalla areas and over 16,000 public places, with more than 243,000 tons of waste removed using special equipment.
To strengthen order and discipline, inspections were conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, Internal Affairs units, the National Guard, and the State Environmental Control Inspectorate. As a result, over 36,000 violations related to illegal waste disposal and breaches of sanitary rules were detected, and appropriate legal measures were taken.
Employees of government institutions and representatives of partner organizations also took part in the cleanup efforts. Organizers noted that the “Month of Cleanliness and Order” will continue consistently until the end of the year.
