Unified call center of the Ministry of Defense launched
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced the launch of a unified call center for processing appeals received from citizens and various organizations. The new communication channel is available through the short number 1530 and is aimed at ensuring the ministry provides quick and efficient service to the public on a wide range of issues.

This service is considered a consistent step towards implementing the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On appeals of individuals and legal entities." This law guarantees citizens the right to appeal to state bodies and requires them to provide timely and full responses.

The launch of the call center signifies the implementation of modern technologies in practice to guarantee these rights within the defense sector. The center’s operators are authorized to provide advice in a number of areas.

In particular, citizens can receive detailed information about the procedure for conscription into compulsory military service, as well as the rules for serving in the mobilization reserve. Notably, this reserve is a special form of fulfilling one's military duty in which citizens participate in monthly military training and pay a certain amount.

Special attention in the call center’s activities is given to social protection issues for servicemen and their family members. In recent years, important reforms have been implemented to strengthen government support in this area.

For example, starting from March 1, 2025, the amount of monthly compensation for servicemen renting accommodation will increase by 20 percent. Also, starting from June 1, 2025, for servicemen who have served for ten years or more, the down payment for mortgage loans will be reduced to up to 35 percent of the property’s value.

Detailed information about these updates can also be obtained through the call center. In addition, via the 1530 short number, inquiries are accepted regarding medical support and personnel matters within the Armed Forces system, including appointments and contract-based service.

The ministry emphasizes that each appeal is registered and reviewed according to legal procedure. Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense guarantees that the personal data and content of the appeals will be kept completely confidential.

This initiative is aimed at centralizing the communication system, and is seen as a countermeasure in response to recent events observed in the capital. Previously, law enforcement officers in Tashkent had stopped the activities of a group of cybercriminals.

The criminals had set up an illegal call center and obtained citizens’ personal data through fraud, in order to embezzle funds from their bank cards. During the operation, around 20 people were detained, and the data of more than 15,000 citizens was confiscated.
