The list of the world's largest gold deposits for 2024 has been published. According to international analysts, this year as well, such countries as the USA, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Indonesia are listed as the world's leading gold producers.
The first place was taken by the Nevada Gold Mines deposit located in the US state of Nevada. This deposit contains several large mines and has the potential to produce hundreds of tons of precious metals per year.
In second place is the historical Muruntau mine of Uzbekistan - one of the largest open-pit gold mines not only in the country, but also in the world. Experts emphasize that Muruntau has no equal rivals not only in terms of gold production volumes but also in terms of reserves.
Also, another deposit of Uzbekistan - the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex - took sixth place in the world list. This demonstrates the country's enormous potential in the field of natural resources and the effectiveness of modern processing infrastructure.
According to international economists, the steady growth of gold production in Uzbekistan in recent years, the introduction of new technologies, and significant investments in geological exploration play an important role in this.
The top 10 gold-producing deposits are as follows:
USA - Nevada Gold Mines
Uzbekistan - Muruntau
Indonesia - Grasberg
Russia - Olympics
Uzbekistan - Almalyk complex
Kazakhstan - KazZinc
