The US State Department announced the introduction of new changes to the "Diversity Visa" program, or the widely known Green Card program. This was reported on the official website of the agency.
According to the information, some adjustments have been made to the application deadline and registration process for the DV-2027 lottery. The State Department is expected to announce the exact date of registration and when it will announce the results through the Entry Status Check (ES) in the coming days.
However, the changes will not affect the visa application deadline. The document submission process for the winners will remain the same - from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027.
Applications for the Green Card lottery were usually accepted annually from the beginning of October to the first week of November. However, this process has not yet begun this year.
It should be recalled that in September, the US State Department announced the introduction of a fee of $1 for electronic registration to participate in the DV Lottery. This payment was introduced to automate the system and reduce artificial applications.
Experts note that the innovations are aimed at ensuring the transparency of the program and preventing technical errors.
