Those who violate waste disposal rules in Tashkent will pay a fine of 2 billion soums

Environmental control has been strengthened in the capital: more than 2 billion soums of administrative fines have been imposed on persons who discarded waste in unauthorized places and violated sanitary rules, the city administration reported.

As a result of the large-scale work carried out within the framework of the "Clean Territory" and "Clean Capital" projects, waste was collected in 585 mahallas, and 14 thousand tons of household and solid waste were placed in special landfills.

Also, the territory of more than 8.5 thousand apartment buildings was cleaned, 2.8 thousand trees were not cut down, but were cared for and shaped. 315 tons of waste collected in canals and rivers have also been collected.

During the study of the sanitary condition of the city, 594 facilities were inspected, and 365 violations of the law were identified and eliminated.

According to the khokimiyat, punitive measures are being taken against citizens who dump waste in unauthorized areas within the framework of the law, and in some cases, preventive conversations are being held.

For information, from January 1, 2026, fees for waste services will not be collected door-to-door, but will be calculated only based on the services provided.
