The financial system in the country is developing in a more convenient and modern direction. The Ministry of Justice has registered an order establishing new procedures for issuing and circulating bank cards, according to the Ministry's press service.
According to the new document, the range of bank cards has been expanded depending on the type of user. Now they are divided into the following types:
A business bank card allows individual entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals to freely manage funds in their accounts.
A social bank card is intended for receiving and using state aid, benefits, and other social payments.
Also, a mechanism for activating pre-issued personal bank cards has been introduced, identifying the user through a mobile application. This makes it much easier to use banking services.
The most important news is that now teenagers aged 14 to 18 can independently open a bank card in their name. Children under 14 years of age can register a card with the written consent of one of their parents or legal guardian.
In addition, the new procedure allows legal entities to pay for drinking water and sewerage services using corporate bank cards. This will serve to make the payment process more transparent and prompt for business entities.
Recall that in the summer of this year, the Central Bank conducted a survey to study the level of cash use among the population. According to the results, in some regions, the population is still more likely to resort to cash transactions. The new system is aimed at expanding the volume of electronic payments and developing the digital economy.
